I was born in Brooklyn. Although it was certainly not the Garden of Eden, my introduction to the earth was ecstatic. I looked at the grass, dug my fingers into the earth, touched water puddles and watched leaves falling from the sky. And then I painted.
My years of instruction began at the Brooklyn Museum in the life drawing class. I am still drawing the female human body. I attended Cooper Union in the fine arts program, enjoying the vibrant energy in the city. The following years were a mix of painting, marriage, children (3), moving (San Francisco, L.A., New Mexico, Maine, Boston). We settled in Warwick to become and remain followers of Mr. Nyland who represented the ideas of Gurdjieff. This path of inner work is partner to art. It is an organic connection I have to painting.
My work brings together - earth, sky, water and the human form. Works are in oil on canvas and watercolor collages on paper.
